I love The Podolls, an SF-based married designer duo. Handcrafted with care, with lines and pleats and drapes to add subtle detail, made of high quality fabrics in just-right colors + prints, I could just live in these designs. They really are the epitome of the luxe-casual look I crave so much.
Peep my favorite picks right here here here and here.
So many poppies, such a great welcome home to California after my trip to Arizona.
This is the first time Jack has ever voluntarily sat on the couch with us! He’s becoming so much more cat-like day by day. Now we just have to work on getting Lucky out from under the couch.
Sometimes I have to take my computer out for coffee because my house is too messy. Not because there’s nowhere to sit or anything, but because I would not be able to concentrate on my work without vacuuming first.
Last night we gave our patio a complete overhaul. We washed the walls and windows and the concrete and everything else. I love a good fresh start.
Sometimes I just crave a new dress. I love how girlie it is. In searching for a new frock to tempt myself with, I found that the ones that kept popping out at me had one thing in common – mixed prints.
I’ve seen this trend before, but I am really loving the artistic bent it’s taking this time around. These three dresses have such design-y prints placed perfectly together.

If you’ve been following along on twitter or instagram, you know that I’m in Arizona this week for yet another spur-of-the-moment trip to grandma’s house.
I realized yesterday as I was taking pictures of so much cool stuff around the house that it might seem like something bad had happened. Everything is fine, with grandma safe in her new home in Sacramento, we are just starting the enormous task of cleaning up the house she’d lived in since 1960.
This is still a hard trip – realizing that our time with this beloved house is growing ever shorter – but it’s also been really fun, digging up buried treasures like a whole box of my mommy’s history from report cards to school papers, letters home as a young bride, and every picture taken and card received since birth.
On the first day, I thought ‘Here’s why you should learn to THROW THINGS AWAY,’ but it’s kind of cool how much history she kept for us to explore.
The love letters we’re finding floored me the most – all my love letters are on Facebook messenger!
It’s back to work now, and also a memory lane + learning filled day.
I’m so pleased to finally share with you the little project I’ve been working on!
My pal Melissa Johnson, of Best Friends For Frosting, hooked up with QVC to showcase some of spring’s trends and her design-inspired desserts. Check out Melissa’s post here + check out the details of the outfits I styled here.

This OOTW is a little casual + super fun.
A spin on my favorite spring uniform, wear this flowy Ace + Jig top over boyfriend jeans. Cuffs rolled up is MANDATORY. The jeans get dressed up a little with the Madewell Andie sandal. I love this Another Feather brass necklace (see, I told ya) and colorful, textured clutch to add a little art to the outfit.
